List of the World's Tallest Water Slides

Current list of the tallest water slides on planet earth. This unfinished list will be altered occasionally as new slides are to be entered and categorized from tallest downwards.



    • Verruckt
    • Location: Kansas City, Kansas; USA
    • Water Park: Schlitterbahn Kansas City
    • Type: Freefall Master Blaster
    • Height: 168 feet 7 inches / 51.38 meters
    • Opened July 10, 2014! This 3-person inline raft slide is the record holder for the world's tallest water slide. Beats current tallest record holders Kilimanjaro (164ft. / 49m) and Insano (135ft / 41m). Also planned to have a large hill after initial record-setting drop.

    • Drop Height: 164 feet / 50 meters
    • Rough Speed: 56-60mph / 91km/h
    • Slide currently holds the record for the highest drop height on a body slide. The slide utilizes the side of a hill to safely extend it further, and digs into the side of it to achieve its great drop height.

    • Location: (Northeast Region?); Brazil
    • Water Park: Beach Park
    • Type: Freefall body slide
    • Height: 135 feet / 41 meters
    • Rough Speed: 65mph / 105km/h
    • Currently the tallest freestanding body slide in the world.

    • Spacemaker 
    • Location: Jesolo, Venezia; Italy
    • Water Park: Aqualandia
    • Type: Freefall inline raft slide
    • Height: 132 feet / (42 meters?)
    • Rough Speed: 62mph / 100 km/h
    • This 4 person inline raft slide has an impressive 60 degree slope for it's drop. Note: Multiple sources record this water slide being 132 feet tall (40.2 meters) tall, while others have it at 42 meters (137.8 feet).

    • Water Park: Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay 
    • Type: Trap-door free-fall slide
    • Height: 121 feet / 36.9 meters
    • North America's tallest body slide. 70 degree slope. Opened along with the amusement park's reopening on May 24, 2014.

    • Summit Plummet 
    • Location: Orlando, Florida; USA
    • Water Park: Walt Disney World's Blizzard Beach
    • Type: Freefall body slide
    • Height: 120 feet / 36.6 meters
    • Rough Speed: 55mph / 89km/h

    • VertiGO
    • Location: Benidorm, Alicante; Spain
    • Water Park: Aqualandia
    • Type: Trap-door free-fall slide
    • Height: 108.3 feet / 33 meters
    • Opened in August 1, 2013! Technically breaks the previous record, held by King Khajuna, for being the tallest free-fall water slide in Europe, although this slide utilizes a trap-door beginning.

    • Rough Speed: 50mph / 80km/h
    • Jumeirah Sceirah has, since it's original version, undergone a new form. Instead of its usual one flume three drop course, it now has two tunneled trap door flumes that have two drops.

    • Height: 102 feet / 31.1 meters
    • Rough Speed: 6 meters per second
    • Opened May 18, 2013! Claims record for Europe's tallest freefall slide. 55 degree slope.
